Solemn High Mass

On Christmas Day, December 25, for the Midnight Mass of the Solemnity, there will be offered the Solemn High Mass, in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. This will be a historic moment for the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, as such a Mass has not be offered for quite some time. The Mercedarian Friars will be doing this for the first time and hope that it might become a standing tradition for the parish.

From all accounts, this Christmas midnight Mass at was a beautiful expression of the Extraordinary Form. It was a noble effort of the friars and all those who staff the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Glad to see that the Mercedarians are once again leading the way in worship of the Most High God.
